Hold on, not quite finished dancing……….ok, there it is.

Hello again guys and gals!  Wowzer bowzer!  The Knicks have finally won a playoff series for the first time since 2000.  13 years! And boy did it get a little shaky.  As I said in a previous post, I wasn’t overly confident that the Knicks would even win this series.  I don’t think they’re a great team.  They’re pretty good.  But not great.  And although the Celtics were practically playing with ushers due to all their injuries, I still felt that they would be competitive, given their playoff experience.  That didn’t really show through until game 4 though.  Then again in game 5.  Uh oh spaghetti-O’s!  Now I was starting to get nervous.  And it seemed some TV and radio analysts shared that feeling.  But New York prevailed, beating Boston in Boston (which was very sweet, seeing as how I’m not a fan of those Boston sports teams).  Now the Knickerbockers move on to face the Pacers.  Can they beat them?  Sure.  Will they?  I’m leaning towards no, but I sincerely hope that I’m wrong.

The Nets series is turning out to be a doozy.  I’m actually kind of surprised it’s gotten to a game 7.  The Bulls are really banged up, but give them credit, they’re hanging in there.  I originally predicted the Nets to end this in 6, so I’ll stick with them to win, but it’s really a crap shoot.  With the way Chicago plays defense, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they end up winning.  Deron Williams has to keep his level of play up, even if Kirk Heinrich plays tonight.  Can we talk about that for a minute?  Kirk Heinrich is the defensive stopper who shuts down Deron Williams?  I never thought those words would come out of my mouth.  If the Nets do move on, Williams is going to have his work cut out for him against the likes of Mario Chalmers, Dwayne Wade and Lebron James.  If he thought Heinrich was tough, wait til he steps toe to toe with the Heat.

Oh I almost forgot; Happy Kentucky Derby Day!  Nah, I’m just kidding, I’m not a huge Derby fan.  But people ask me all the time (no one ever asks me), “Anthony, seeing as how you’re such a sports genius, who do you see winning the Kentucky Derby?”  Great question imaginary friends.  I predict that the really fast horse is going to win.  You know, the one with the name?  He’s going to beat that other fast horse by getting to the finish line in a quicker time.  They’ll run around the thing, at the place with all the people, and put on a great show.  So there you have it.  If you’re betting, put all your money on the fast horse who’s going to win.  Remember?  The one I just told you about!

Ok, that’s it for today folks.  I’m tired, I’m punchy and I just had a big lunchy.  Wow, I need a nap.  Have a great weekend!  Go fast horse!
